Roasted Chickpeas (Garbanzo Beans)

1 can of  Chickpeas (Garbanzo Beans)
1 Tbsp. Olive Oil
Garlic Powder to taste
Cayenne Pepper to taste

1) Preheat oven to 400 degrees
2) Drain Chickpeas
3) Rinse Chickpeas
4) Dry Chickpeas with paper towel
5) Remove skins (optional)
6) Put Chickpeas in a shallow baking pan or cookie sheet
7) Coat well with 1 Tbsp oil
8) Bake for 30-40 minutes (I cook them for 40 minutes)
9) Season with Garlic, Cayenne or whatever you prefer (Italian seasoning...)

These are not exactly low calorie, they are beans, after all, and a can of these is about 400 Calories. That said, they are a healthy alternative to other snack foods. I put them into "100 calorie packs" (divide them into four equal parts and put them into ziplock bags. They make a good little walking / hiking snack.
